Christmas comes to town for Claygate Primary
Great fun was had by all last Saturday at the Christmas Bazaar. The event was officially opened by our Senior Choir, who sang beautifully. There were lots of fun stalls for the children to try out including the popular jam jars stall (well done to Chestnut class for collecting the most jam jars), chocolate tombola, the Christmas games room and pine cone decorating. Once they had tried everything, there was still plenty left to do, like take fun photos with family and friends in our brilliant photo booth or go and visit our elves and Santa in the grotto.
When hunger called, there were mouth-watering burgers and sausages from Game Larder to sink their teeth into, followed by a delicious cake from the Café stall. While parents could enjoy a coffee from Caffe Capital, mulled wine or Platform No3 Daisy Gold ale which was kindly donated by Game Larder.
This, hopefully, got the parents then into the mood to bid on the 17 hampers on offer in time, before the Grand Raffle was then drawn at the end of the bazaar. We had 60 prizes to be won.
Thank you everyone who volunteered and took part in the event. We raised a grand total of £7,475.48 which would not have been possible without your generous donations.
Merry Christmas everyone! Christmas Bazaar Team 2019
